This engagement involved serving as an external reviewer for research and innovation proposals submitted to Busitema University, following an official invitation issued by the Directorate of Graduate Studies, Research and Innovations (DGSRI) on 27 November 2025.

The role entailed conducting independent, structured reviews of competitively submitted proposals and providing detailed written feedback in accordance with the University’s approved proposal evaluation and grading framework. The assessment focused on strategic relevance to national development priorities, clarity of the research problem and objectives, methodological soundness, justification of resource requirements, and the feasibility of expected outputs and dissemination plans.

The engagement supported Busitema University’s efforts to strengthen quality assurance, transparency, and rigor in research funding decisions, while promoting high standards in research and innovation governance.
